@GottaLaff I know I shouldn’t be shocked but I am. The GOP is guilty of a lot, but personally I will not forgive them for the thorough corruption and ruination of my home state. Texas is a large, complicated place, but these rapacious bastards are running it into the ground.

@taniel It’s just so awful. The man is a thoroughly and OPENLY corrupt crook and an abuser to boot. But the GOP just can’t discipline one of their own. I just hope this is a bridge too far for some GOP voters.

@DataDrivenMD Just searched for my zip code in Brooklyn, and found one place in Newark. 😔 I have to assume this will be much better by the end of the week. In the meantime, this graph of Covid hospitalizations is from the NYC DOH as of Friday.

@Teri_Kanefield I appreciate you! Going to lead a phonebank for @sisterdistrictproject right now, and I also appreciate your encouragement of such direct actions. ✊

@GottaLaff Some of the stuff on Amazon is clearly stolen, so it’s plausible. I think Amazon should be investigated as a fence. But it is a little nuts to me that Target would rather close stores than hire more staff. So maybe there is something more going on.

@LALegault I run Covid protocols for a preschool, and I just do not know what to do anymore. What is testing? Why am I asking families to test to return when their children have symptoms? I feel like I have no way to keep Covid out of my school. Kids are sick. Teachers are sick. Some people test positive and others don’t, even though it sure seems like they have it and test daily. Are we out of preventative measures except for vaccines — which are not yet widely available??

@garius Your cat looks EXACTLY like mine. Wild. She has also been uncommonly physically affectionate lately. Not usually this close.

@Teri_Kanefield After the last few years what I’ve been thinking is that our justice systems are too complex. There are too many laws, writ too fine, and there is too much distance between our laws and “justice,” as commonly understood. Invisible, incomprehensible complexity makes people distrust institutions and more likely to believe conspiracy theories, mis- and disinformation.
