  #idiot47 #republicans #GOP #democrats #Biden Okay, I’m going to say it. I miss Joe Biden. I miss his somewhat sleepy, but steady leadership. I miss his compassion. The biggest complaint I heard in the last two years of his presidency was, “He didn’t do anything.” I called bullshit on that argument then, and I call it now. He actually did a lot, but the oligarchic press ignored everything he did. I wish articles like this had been front page news in 2024.

  @dtm I agree completely with your sentiment. However, I am one who actually depends on government agencies to do my job. I am an historian who does historical research professionally. When the government shuts down, that means the National Archives closes. I can’t do my job, but more importantly, all those people who are National Archives employees can’t do their jobs and don’t get their paychecks. I’ve worked with and known some of those people for decades. I can’t tell you how much pain...
