• When did we reach a point piracy has better service than paying?

  At least for media, piracy websites have a more extensive catalogue (of course) but they also have better privacy which is crazy. And they also allow you to use ad blockers. Sites you pay for would still show ads sometimes and don’t even allow VPNs. At that point there is no point on paying for streaming and if you wanted to support the creators you could do it separetely with merch, other proyects they have or direct donations if any of those are aviable.

  Maybe, probs, I did not think of that ig. But I do feel that would be like posting something about wine in a windows group, it does not affect mac users of course the size of the community and proyect might change some stuff maybe. Or maybe it’s also because of the kind of question. idk

• Will darling work on x86_64?

  (I know the proyect basically just supports cli at the moment) Mac is stopping to support intel and all that from what I understand making mac apps arm only (eventually) (and also hackingtosh impossible but unrelated). The proyect’s page says nothing about this. It does say it also plans to support ios for arm devices which thinking about it would probably also mean running ios apps in android. Regardless, I was saying, wouldn’t running mac apps be impossible without an arm -> x86_64 transl...

• In peertube how can I choose an instance and how can I have cross platform interactions??

  idk how to have cross platform interactions. Also, every peertube instance feeks very specific for my needs, am I supposed to just post the content on different instances? And even then what instance could I log in to? For example where would a viewer log in? I am not planning to only view content but still! Besides, does the instsnce I log in to could affect the communication speed with others? (I know they can like block eachother.) Anyways thanks a lot!

  Uh, nothing has been broken for me I think, some minor stuff don’t work but I don’t need them really.

• curl packages not working

  As an example, I tried to install sdk and it installed in ~/.sdkman or something idk, there’re no other stuff for sdk I think, except for browser stuff idk. And when I tried to install Nix that did not work either. Nix seems to have installed to /Nix/store and that. And of course any commands do not work. I can kinda run the executables in the files but not all commands are there ig. What I am supposed to do?

• i hibernated my pc and now it boots into a blank screen

  yea. Voidlinux, I hibernated with “ZZZ”, now managed to boot to it from grub from another distro butt none of the services work I think and I can’t start a DE or start xorg or whatever. I tried removing the swap or turning it off ot whatrver and after I did swapoff it did seem to go away but then I had the samr problem and when I booted the same way the swap partition was on. should i delete the swap partition and make another one later or…? pls help thanks a lot!
