  My daughter decided to see if she liked rug-making, so she made a mini-loom using a piece of cereal box cardboard, long bamboo sticks, and medical tape. Naturally it worked, because she is quite clever. I am very proud of her creativity and ingenuity. She does, indeed, like rug-making, and she will likely invest in a larger, sturdier loom. #loom #rugmaking #fiberart

  I've had my (used, 2024) Kia EV6 Wind all-wheel drive car for a little over a month, and I bought it with the understanding that its range was 282 miles. Well. The first thing I discovered was that an 80% charge gave me an estimated 315 mile range.   Our priest is recovering from cancer, so I made her a pinata. I've never made a pinata before, so the design and execution are less-than-perfect. The "keyboard" is filled with Hersheys Kisses, but they slide all over the place, making the pinata more unstable than a newly-minted teenager. Hopefully, she'll take one look at the silly "emails" on the "screen" and promptly smash the laptop, releasing the Kisses. #Artrocityst...

  For Earth Day, I bought a used 2024 Kia EV6, a completely electric car with a 282 mile range. I cannot imagine buying another internal combustion engine (ICE) car in my lifetime. I eagerly await the Promised Land: solid state batteries. When consumers can choose between a $40,000 ICE car with a 300 mile range or a $40,000 electric car with a 700 mile range, it will signal an extinction event for ICE cars. I firmly believe that event is coming very soon, as in 3-4 years.
