Friend and/or Foe - can both be true at the same time? Investigative journalists in Europe suggest China and Russia have been discussing ways and means to blunt StarLink. Reporting indicates China presented a 3-tier plan to the Russians > 1) diplomatic pressure, 2) electronic jamming cyberattacks, and 3) physical destruction of StarLink satellites. Would you trust your data to these chuckle heads? Researchers throw a giant red flag on Grok Build. When Grok Build reads or processes a file, the contents of that file were transmitted without redaction to a Google Cloud Storage bucket used by SpaceXAI. They also found that Grok Build packages entire repos and uploads them as Git bundles. Users also report an entire user directory, containing SSH keys, password manager databases, and more, were opened and uploaded. These uploads have no...

Researchers @ Cambridge dug into the cost to launch stuff into space and they predict the cost of getting into earth orbit will more than halve between now and the end of the decade, and fall around 93% by 2040. They analyzed a data set of rocket launches spanning > 4,400 launches between 1960 and 2025 to project future trends. Cost to get a kilogram into orbit has dropped from $87,023 USD in 1960 to $3,868 in 2025. The analysis showed the cost of getting a kilogram of payload into...
