  Even for him. I like him. I don’t always agree with him, but I think he’s one of the few that really gives a shit and actually walks what he talks and I deeply respect that. I value the perspective that comes with age too. But it’s time for age limits, man. It’s past time.

  Locksmithing/access control is an industry that is sorely lacking new people… Interesting. I was considering locksmithing as a way to get some supplemental income later in life. I’ve done skilled labor and light IT work most of my life and it seemed like a good fit for my skill set. I’ll have to move that to the top of the pile of possibilities.

  When smart home thermostats and light switches were still a new thing, I used to talk about “Jurassic Park Tech” as in too worried about whether or not they could… and that’s even more the case with AI. At some point I think this gets to be like S. M. Stirling’s Emberverse, where modern tech stops working and people who know how to make traditional wooden bows become an extremely valuable resource.
