  Apparently, you can be firmly against the legalization of parenthood with the help of a surrogate mother for ethical reasons and happily adopt a child with the help of a surrogate mother. Now that's an interesting ethical position. #DePol

  "The Life and Suffering of Sir Brante" is currently free on Steam. Likely because its sequel is to be released on the 20th of July. To be honest, I added it to my wishlist purely based on the artwork and medieval setting and have not yet played it. I think it's a text-based, choose your own adventure kind of game.   Finished playing "Desperadoes III" and I enjoyed almost every minute of its 30h+ runtime. There are many moments when you don't see any way forward, then you can think of something (combined with a little bit of luck) – and it's so satisfying when the plan finally works out. The plot is a simple revenge story, but by the end I really loved the characters. Especially Hector, what a guy! I think I'll be playing "Pillars of Eternity" ne...

  #CurrentlyReading Plato's Sophist. Ancient writing and philosophy can be rather dull, but some moments are so quirky. Like when he defines what it is to be an idiot. Or when he bluntly states that there are two bodily arts, medicine against illness and gymnastics against ugliness.

  I've been playing "Sherlock Holmes: Crimes and Punishments" on the Steamdeck and it was crushing at the same position over and over again. I disconnected the controller and now it works perfectly fine. Perhaps something to keep in mind. #steamdeck

  I gave "Tomb Raider" (2013) another try this morning. Visually it looks great and what I saw from the setting so far was intriguing, but gameplay-wise there was not much I enjoyed. Actually, I spend 30 minutes to search for totems in some forest area. I found like 4 of 10, it felt so pointless. And not a big fan of the quick time events, either. #tombraider

  #Currentlywatching Excalibur (1981). What a gem! Such a surreal experience which perfectly captures the spirit of its mythical source material. Yet, while there is magic to the story, it's great that there is a certain realism and weight to the battle sequences. It kind of grounds the events and mirrors how the narrative was once taken for granted. For some reason the movie gives me strong Bathory vibes.

  #CurrentlyWaching "Blade" (1998) on @MenacingMecha 's recommendation. I totally agree, this old-school superhero movie is better than you would think. Darker, too. I expected this to be full of cheesy one-liners, but it actually aged quite gracefully. Of course there is some terrible CGI, but it fits well with the 90s techno vibe.

  Taxes done – phew! Apparently they'll pay me back 113€, better than nothing I guess. Maybe I'll invest in the Capcom Publisher Sale on Steam.

  Not sure if I should be excited about Lunar Aurora live shows, because in my mind they were never really a live band in the first place. But very good reminder to listen to the band more often again. I also saw that last year Aran of Lunar Aurora and Thomas Helm of Empyrium released an album together (under the Sun After Dark moniker).
