A not so fun fact, in a month from now the sora API will shut down on September 24. At least I've been generating some stuff with it through ElevenLabs, except the only thing is if you're out of your quota limit, you can't do anything else, or use any other ElevenLabs features because it uses a lot of credits. Mine is like 100,000 because I have the creator plan. But stay tuned for next month, because the third and final Sora videos compilation of the videos I've made will be com...

This is how good intelligent image descriptions are within iOS 27 beta. I was on Apple Music and I was having it describe an album artwork, this one was the Enrique album released in 1999 by Enrique Iglesias. A person with short dark hair and light facial stubble wearing a gray t-shirt, looking off to the left against a dark background. The person has a small mole on their right cheek and thick, dark eyebrows. The text "ENRIQUE" is printed in large, thin, dark gray capital letters acro...

Just let off some adult bang snaps, my parents went down to Tennessee for a week and then they came back home this weekend and brought me some big ones from TNT fireworks in Gatlinburg because Ohio doesn't sell shit. They only sell the pussy snaps. Note to self, do not try opening the plastic packaging if you just cut your fingernails, it's hard as hell to open it. Usually I generally can do it, but when my fingers are short, it's difficult than it normally is. But when it's long...

@alexchapman@vee.seedy.cc @rowdyamerican@dragonscave.space I know, especially the enhanced voices of neospeech voices, gives it a new perspective.

Just downloaded the DoubleTalk app that @ivan_soto@dragonscave.space created. The ROM has been imported, and I've got DoubleTalk rocking on iOS now. However, I don't see it on the list of speech synthesizers in voiceover and yes, I did restart my phone. Though I would probably just use DoubleTalk on the app since I can write whatever I want on there since it has that annoying clicking thing, but it's the very first version so there's going to be quirks. I should see how it works...

Just enjoying a nice morning outside, listening to the radio. I brought my Tecsun radio to the back deck. Some little tropo happening this morning. Also currently listening to 40 m shortwave at the moment. And, not too noisy like it is in the house. At least the noise is minimal.

It's been two weeks today since I created the nostalgia corner community bubble on Ramblio. It is basically the best thing we have to a time machine. If you have a pretty good audio library of stuff you have, it's the place to be. It currently has nine members (or 10 if you count me as the owner ). There's lots of stuff on there already, so if you want to check it out before joining you can if you're interested. Lots of stuff is up there, including a short recording of me playing...

Good morning! Here's today's Gemini Notebook deep dive. This deep dive talks about the game bejeweled and how it came to be. But it wasn't just that in the beginning, it was originally just a poker game and then in the early 2000s it was named bejeweled. I didn't know it was a game in the early 2000s only for computers, and then eventually we got it on our phones, and I also have bejeweled three on the DS.

Good day everyone. Looks like we've got some E skip this late afternoon on the FM dial! Just popped out of nowhere. Time to have fun!

Decided to fire up the FM transmitter tonight! I'm on 88.5 FM. gonna see how long I can broadcast dealing with that exhaust fan lol. Gonna try something, Party 85, Columbus's all new party station. Playing EDM, dance music, and hip-hop and rap.

There's a strange bug with an iOS 27 beta where with the eloquence speech synthesizer, if you use Siri or you're on a phone call and you're done, it chips a lot. And it only happens with eloquence, nothing else. Anyone that use eloquence notice this?

There's lots of sporadic E skip on the CB bands tonight, just about every channel occupied. People are talking from all over, including channel 38 lower side band. I think there's a sign that there is some skip forming on the FM broadcast band on 88 MHz, hopefully that's true.

What up people? Just playing some Package Hero, been playing it since Tuesday night. As of now I am at 188.5 billion coins and counting, delivering at 14.5 billion packages per second. I assume this game is new since everyone has been talking about it lately, and it's another accessible game that I can play on iOS.

Good morning! Here's today's Gemini Notebook deep dive. NotebookLM is now Gemini Notebook. Today's deep dive goes over the life and history of Alice Deejay, a Dutch group formed in 1998 and known for their hit song better off alone, but also released in my life, will I ever, everything begins with an E, etc. In 2000 they released their first album who needs guitars anyway. They're back together, and they're doing a 2026 reunion tour, playing in places in Europe and the United...

FCC Adopts Plan for C-Band Auction in July 2027 https://www.radioworld.com/news-and-business/headlines/fcc-adopts-plan-for-c-band-auction-in-july-2027

Good morning everyone! Here's today's NotebookLM deep dive. NotebookLM is now called Gemini notebook. Google announced on Thursday that they've done this which isn't surprising now considering they're sinking everything with Gemini now. Especially now that you can see your notebooks in Gemini. I used two sources for this, the Google blog and an article about this on Cnet. Personally I think they might be killing it off, but we'll see what else they do since the rebranding...

Just another example of how much censorship there is with using sora with ElevenLabs. I did this prompt, an older fat man riding Sirens curse at Cedar Point, he flies off the roller coaster and crashes into Lake Erie. He screams oh shit! As he Loses his grip and falls off the coaster. I'm pretty sure I could make this with the original sora if it was still around. Maybe if I take the oh shit off there it will work.

Does anyone know what happened to the webSDR server in Twente, Netherlands? I did use that SDR sometimes, in fact, it was the first ever WebSDR I used, and the SDR owner was the inventor of the webSDR software. His server was wideband, you could tune from AM, all the way up to 30 MHz. But whenever you type http://websdr.ewi.utwente.nl it does nothing, which makes me believe he either shut the server down or it's in a new address. It doesn't even show up on the list of servers on Websdr.o...

Introducing the new Wayback machine bubble in Ramblio! With the introduction of community spaces like bubbles in Ramblio, it has returned, but with a new name, nostalgia corner. The same idea, different name. If you were a part of that panel/channel on jacket FM and you listened to some stuff I did, well you're in luck because it's back! unfortunately, nobody contributed, although I did put some audio up there. I forget how many people joined it, but there was a few. It didn't last l...

Just listening to shortwave radio outside on the back deck. It's so much better than inside because it's so damn noisy. Even FM is much better.

I have another idea to make with Codex, how about a #NVDA add-on that can let you use your cloned voices from ElevenLabs if you have an API key. That would be cool shit, imagine having Howard Stern as a voice for NVDA, or myself or @danestange@caneandable.social, Tony Soprano, or whoever. Except ElevenLabs didn't do good with getting that Italian New Jersey accent. Who would be interested in using it and is there something like that out there already?

@josh@tweesecake.social has released the public beta of Ramblio 2.0, and holy shit it's a redesign of the experience. It's cool to get a popular option on your feed to see the most popular rambles at the moment. Also, there's a new thing called bubbles, which, if you were someone who used jacket.FM, they had something similar to this called channels, formally known as panels. I made a panel on jacket called the Wayback machine, which was where I uploaded old recordings that I've...

Hi all, hope everyone had a great fourth of July. Last night we went out to Grove city for the Fourth of July fireworks for #America250! We sat across the street from the high school. Lots of people came to this celebration marking the 250th year of the United States. Who all went to watch fireworks last night? Or did you let off your own? This video is my first video made with Z Edit, a new accessible video editing app on iOS. Enjoy this one! https://youtu.be/EljbURWtC-o?is=nNwTQbAMsSu0orD9

I found this while browsing the central alert repository website yesterday. It was a required weekly test for Pennsylvania. Somebody fucked up, because instead of your average emergency alert system test you get Alan Jackson, on froggy 107. Lol! They were counting down some of his songs because yesterday he played his final show in Nashville.

Lots of sporadic E skip happening on CB radio tonight, pretty much all over the 11 m band. Lots of people are coming in from Connecticut, the Carolinas, Minnesota, Kentucky, you name it. If only Skip would reach the FM band, that would be nice. So far this year the best day for skip was on June 10, the FM broadcast band was hot, and apparently so was NOAA.

I just found an email from MillionPodcasts That they made a top ten shortwave podcasts list, And my podcast The Insanity that is 7200 Kilohertz is on that list at #5. Thanks for all that do listen to that one. Only two days until WWDC! Who's watching? We'll have to see what happens. It'll be the last one with ol Tim Cook being Apple CEO, so we'll have to see what happens there. Who knows, more advancements in AI shit? And will have to see about iPadOS and iOS 27, which will be good because I can actually try things with the new M4 iPad because my old one was shit.
