  I saw a billboard—not an LED one—for a bank bragging about the interest rate for their checking accounts. For those who didn’t experience the late 70’s, this advert is a sign of bad economic* times.

  Air conditioning is WORKING. Of course, it's blowing fiberglass insulation everywhere. I swear, once the last contractor leaves, I'm "dusting" the entire house with a leaf-blower.

  How the hell do we continue to see live, public demos of robots being clumsy? How do these VPs not know the costs of failure far, far exceed the profits of success? Why aren't they listening to the voices saying "It isn't ready yet" ? I know all the reasons, this has simply been an Exasperation to the Skies, not a full-blown Scream into the Void.

  Interests: 15x70 film (aka Imax/Omnimax) Network engineering Things that store/release large amounts of energy. The quality of the light. Unique or odd PoVs. Infinite depth of field. (I'd love to join the F90 Club.) Computers, sadly. Motorcycles, gladly. As an older cishet white male, I recognize that I belong to the demographic that's caused most of the problems. Intersectionality is power. Monocultures suck.

  My icon photo is of my father & his friend in their Stearman. This model was pre-NACA cowling, I think it was the 150hp engine? It was sold in the late 50’s to an aerial circus.

  Why did I not accept someone’s generous offer to follow me? Because I couldn’t find enough ORIGINAL posts on their timeline to reassure me that they’re someone I wouldn’t follow back. If someone prefers to boost instead of write their own, that’s fine! But I prefer your words and want to boost from the source when possible. And, I mutually follow. We’re a network, a society.
