  The strain from the cruise ship is the Andes strain. Avoiding rodents isn’t the answer to this one (still avoid them, that’s just not quite the correct answer here). The risk to the average person is low for other reasons. One difference is in the very fact that we can name the virus: we know more about how it spreads and the symptoms to look for.
