Xcode’s xcode-tools MCP server keeps erroring or returning 0 tools to Cursor 😡 Have added prompt to let me know so I can restart it but it still sucks

    Slop.

If I may, have we considered using AI to solve this problem?

RE: https://mastodon.social/@tonyarnold/116264170559253799 This is a great tip I’ve only introduced into my workflow in the last couple of weeks. Subagent using cheaper model, Xcode Skill that uses MCP in the main worktree and xcodebuild | xcsift in other worktrees and as a fallback.

    Allow “cursor-vscode” to access Xcode?

    Time to drop Cursor.

@ryanbooker “That’s done.” Wait what is done? What did you just do? “OK”

@schwa are you using it for code? in Xcode?

Cursor doesn’t seem to eagerly want to use xcode-tools mcp without my saying so, and still wants to use xcodebuild. Should I be using a skill or something to make it use it the MCP by default? cc @rudrank

Looks like apple-app-site-association files can now be served with a 307 redirect? 🤨

The Xcode 26.3 MCP server is kinda broken? Using`xcrun mcpbridge` the DocumentationSearch response doesn’t match it’s own schema.

Has anyone compiled a list of trick interview questions where the answer depends on Swift 5 vs 6, Main Actor Default or Not, Approachable Concurrency or not, etc. Asking for a me.

Whatever efficiency gains I make with AI are immediately wasted by others using AI. What is this paradox? In software engineering we generally wouldn’t subject “vibe coded” work on others, and self review has existed as a discipline before all this. This doesn’t seem to exist in other roles, and throwing slop over the fence for someone else to review is more common.

The Apple Creator Studio subscription has ruined once great and kid friendly iPad apps like Keynote and Pages. Half the buttons prompt you to upgrade, the subscription and premium AI features are pushed HARD.
