AriaGrace@tech.lgbt

Trans lesbian working in IT (how original!) and trying to go from one overworked underpaid position to one slightly less so and more so. Xennial with ADHD and a 2003 regdate on Something Awful. On-off FFXIV bnuuy, full-time MSQ emotional vampire. Shitposter. Rich Evans is my spirit animal, and his laughter is a chorus of angels. Easily distracted by lewd stuff, too much for my own good. Trying to figure out what kind of a person I really am.

pfp: Picrew icon of a caucaian woman with long brown hair, green eyes, glasses, rabbit ears, and gold hoop earrings. She is wearing a teal tank top under an off-the-shoulder purple sweater. She is holding a trans flag, and the lesbian flag colors are in the background behind her.

Banner image: Landscape painting of the city of Revachol f

#WritersCoffeeClub 23: Write under a pseudonym? I have. I do. I will. Aside from the garden-variety internet paranoia from someone my age, there's the whole "trans" thing combined with the erotica I've written. Combined with the "works in government" thing, I'm perfectly happy continuing to have my online footprint as Balkanized as possible.

What level of bachelor(ette) is " #TacoTuesday with a solo taco station set up in the kitchen and you eat over the sink"? 🌮 🤔

Bought some books at a brick & mortar indie bookstore today. I relished the heft, the texture of the paper, the scent of ink, and the physicality of actual paper books. Then I went home, pirated the books and side-loaded them onto my Kindle.

It's one thing to take inspiration from Thing when writing a book... But when you specifically cite it in the beginning foreword / dedication thing, that really just primes my mind to immediately and constantly compare it to Thing. I can't help but visualize the book using visuals and themes from Thing, rather than whatever the book is trying to describe. It lays bare the connections and similarities, in a way that makes it difficult to get immersed. What's that? You lik...

"I wish there was a way to know you're in the good old days before you've actually left them." #Endwalker early access started 3 years ago today. I took a week off work and went all-in, logging in at 6am to avoid the queues and not logging out until ~midnight. It was a crazy wild time, a frenetic almost festival atmosphere, as people finished up the MSQ, looked around at each other through the tears and realized that (minor quibbles aside) SE actually stuck the...

See CW, lol. I've been feeling pretty shitty for the last few weeks and couldn't figure out why. Then I saw a clickbaity article about SAD and sun lamps, and was like "Oh yeah, I have that."

I'm taking Andrew Ramdayal's CompTIA Network+ course through Udemy and it's actually... Working? Like I'm only doing very baby steps in subnetting but it makes sense, I can follow the logic, and feel like I'm learning? What madness is this.

Fuck it. We're doing the #hrt. Maybe a more in depth effortpost later on.

3.5 weeks on HRT, the main effect I've noticed is major insomnia, which seems to be overshadowing whatever other effects may be happening
