If you want to read posts on X without bloat, consider using #Nitter. It was mostly shut down in '24 and seems to be working fine now. nitter.net

Incoming #Signal messages are stored in an #iPhone database even after the application's deletion, if the setting allows it. '“We learned that specifically on iPhones, if one’s settings in the Signal app allow for message notifications and previews to show up on the lock screen, [then] the iPhone will internally store those notifications/message previews in the internal memory of the device,” a supporter of the defendants who was taking notes during the trial told 404 Media.&amp...

There are two Australian Christmas Islands and another Little Christmas Island also in Australia. At least the populated one was named due to the arrival's timing.

Maybe it's time to tax #kerosine in EU countries, since an A320 requires roughly 15 l/h per passenger. The fuel could be put to more efficient use. travelguys.fr/en/2021/08/24/how-much-fuel-does-an-airplane-burn/

Why did Twitter-like communication tools prevail in the first place? • All nicknames require a preceded '@'. • Most designs use relative dates. • The posting's successions are sometimes switched for no apparent reason. • The hashtag regression with all its problems including limited charsets. Had been solved better decades before. This observation applies to all of them.

Tried to grab inflation numbers from the Narodowy Bank Polski (#NBP), the Polish central bank. The address 'nbp.pl/en/statistic-and-financial-reporting/core-inflation/' throws an insecure connection warning at me. Trying to view 'nbp.pl' gives me this: 'Pardon Our Interruption As you were browsing something about your browser made us think you were a bot. 5 years price increase of Twaróg (Quark, Ricotta, Curd) #cheese is 42.2%, while it should be only 10.4%. The #OECD recorded a 44% rise in CPI. Poland still has Złoty. Their central bank is as corrupt as the #ECB. It still hints at the ECB's concealment. They revamped their data and propose an #inflation between Jan '21 and Dec '25 of only 23.23% HICP. Their site is now barely usable. clal.it/en/index.php?section=cagliata_pol data-explorer.oecd.org data.ecb.europa.eu

The parasitic foreign terrorist organisation #Amnesty International released their yearly report with a feigned call to end appeasement towards aggressors, while maintaining their agenda of lawlessness and eradication of the European population. The summary includes bits about the Palestine issue and these: 'Italy and Hungary declined to arrest individuals subject to ICC warrants in their territory, while France, Germany and Poland implied they would do the same.' ... &#3...

Musk is propagating #XChat, not to be confused with the original released in 1999, in a repost as secure on his propaganda platform X. nitter.net/KatieMiller/status/2047767543134445784 But it raises and combines lots of data: '... the app has declared it may collect the following data points, and link them to your identity: Location ... Identifiers ...' 'As the app is meant for X users to communicate with one another, you do need an X account to use XChat.' li...

In November, the #ECJ ruled the minimum wage directive 2022/2041 to be mostly applicable. It looks like a trial balloon of how far the #EU can go with violating its ban to set wages. Bottom line: it just leads to more #bureaucracy. Trial identifier: C-19/23

Just in case you still believed in the safety of #opensource. Many Linux OS since '17 can be rooted via #copyfail. 'The exploit chain, meticulously crafted following the initial discovery, demonstrates a clear path from an unprivileged local user account to full root access, bypassing standard security measures. ...' 'This means an attacker already possessing limited access to a Linux system – perhaps through a misconfigured application or a weak credential – c...

One of the ugliest #terrorists in the world, Christine #Lagarde, keeps pursuing her program of eradication. The #ECB didn't raise the interest rates. 'We are committed to setting monetary policy to ensure that inflation stabilises at our two per cent target in the medium term.' The notification about a 2.5% #inflation was released at the end of March. 'Inflation rose to 3.0 per cent in April, from 2.6 per cent in March and 1.9 per cent in February.'...

I tried to find out, how animal's IQ compares to human's and came upon this piece of #misinformation: 'What is the highest IQ recorded for a child? By India Today Web Desk: A 12-year-old English schoolboy from Bristol is now one of the smartest kids in the world after scoring an incredible 162 on the IQ test. It is the highest possible score for those under 18 and is higher than that of Albert Einstein, whose IQ was thought to be 160. ... What is Albert Einstein&#3...
