Playing Morrowind again for the first time in probably 12-15 years, sell me on a character concept.
I just got done installing OpenMW and setting up the I Heart Vanilla mod list. I also added Daisy’s Lua Multimark to help with getting around a little better. My only real requirement is that I want my first character to use spears as a primary weapon, because I miss them so much when I play other Elder Scrolls. Medium armor synergises well with spears and Bonemold looks sweet, so I’m leaning towards that, or maybe a medium/heavy mix later when carry weight’s less of a problem. Other than th...

People with aphantasia: Can you walk through a mental map of a place you know?
I’m curious how that kind of visual/spatial memory interacts with the inability to visualize your imagination.

What great survival horror games have I missed in the last decade or so?
I used to play quite a few of them in the ps1/ps2 era, but sort of dropped out after Resident Evil 4. Now I’ve picked up Resident Evil 7 and it’s clear I’m about at endgame, and I’ve been enjoying it pretty well. So aside from other RE games (I have Village ready to install when I finish 7), what are some more good ones from say the last 10 years-ish? I find the superscience bullshit of RE is usually easier to follow than supernatural survival horror games, I prefer to have some combat and...

Solved or not, what games have great detailed mysteries/conspiracy theories that you can completely miss?
Not games with a convoluted mysterious story, per se, but if it’s something that re-contextualizes the story somehow, that’s the kind of thing I’m interested in. Inspired by my digging into the FF:06:5B mystery in my current playthrough of Cyberpunk. There are all sorts of weird codes and ciphers, bizarre rituals you have to do at certain places and times, and vague clues in weird places. One clue was even in an update to The Witcher 3, apparently. Based on my reading, the community found a so...

Anyone know of any good mods for Cyberpunk 2077 that add _content_ specifically?
I got the urge to play again, but the last update broke some of my mods. I’m just about done reinstalling all the visual and QOL mods I think I want on a fresh install, but can anyone recommend any that add quests, random events, or minor romances like the Rita and Bugbear ones?

Rogue Trader is my first Warhammer 40k game and it has enthralled me. What other great games in the 'verse have I been missing out on?
Through a little research, I believe RT is the only RPG currently, which is unfortunate because I think it’s a great way to soak up the setting. I have my eye on Mechanicus, because it looks very XCOM influenced. I like the smaller-scale squad-based tactics much more than the army-scale grand strategy/RTS style. Any other suggestions? I know because of what the original game is, the RTS ones are probably going to be the majority of the PC titles, but there seems to be some representation in...
