    My latest adventures with #wayland is not pleasant. Today mplayer just fucked my whole system. It tried to load a video file, the terminal becomes unresposive and then the screen becomes black. Now kwin_wayland runs at many hundred percent and when logging in from another system there&#39;s no trace of a mplayer process. Great.

    *sigh* so the day has come when Wyland was forced upon me, and after an update I rebooted and now Plasma complains about some iBus settings I had to google for a solution for. Also, my dmesg output is now filled with kernel call traces and what looks like some kind of obscure warning about dire straits. Are there any hints why? Are there any useful messages about what to do about it? No, of course not. How long have people been hacking on that crap? #linux #OldManShakesFistAtClouds #wayland

    Så lite sent ansluter jag mig till #drinkklubbens torsdagsmöte med en Gold Rush. Ingen flytande honung hemma så det fick bli att tunna ut med vatten och värma och greja. Fortfarande ganska citrondominerad, men det är ju en sour! Kul!

    I decided to try to catch up with how buddhism caught on in the late sixties, and got hold of &amp;quot;Be Here Now&amp;quot; by Ram Dass, a best seller back in the day. It was an interesting read. The biographical part made me wonder about what a serious junkie he used to be! Some sort of religion was probably a good thing for him! I liked the idea of Be Here Now, of really being here and in the now. Living a life of endless love and compassion in the now is good, all buddhism aside! #BeHere...

    I have been reading Alternity again after a decade or so since I last looked at it. It&amp;#39;s both very old school and also has some interesting new ideas for the game system. Last time I read it, I remember I really felt enthusiasm after reading it. That&amp;#39;s a good reaction to a game, that you really want to play it. Am I loosing pace a bit in my Fading Suns game? Maybe, or I&amp;#39;m just after a new shiny. #Alternity #FadingSuns

    Since there was a book circle at the recent #Åcon14 I re-read &amp;quot;Way station&amp;quot; by Clifford D. Simak and found that like many of his other books, it still holds up. Go read it, if you haven&amp;#39;t. #CliffordDSimak #scienceFiction
