#3GoodThings 1. Got a sneak peek at the McDonnell planetarium's new projection system today, due to the fact that the company for which I work funded it. If you live in or near #StLouis, or visit, make sure you see it. 2. The St. Louis Astronomical Society with special telescopes set up with which you could safely look at the sun. We saw sunspots and coronal mass ejections, so cool. 3. A bit cooler today, and no rain.

#3goodthings 1. Saw a specialist about a nagging medical issue. He was very nice, easy to talk to; I think I may be close to getting it resolved. 2. Had lunch at Gioia's Deli (a #StLouis legend). A roast beef and hot salami sandwich with #provel - yum! 3. Had the rest if the day off, so I got a lot done: grass cut, dishes washed, clothes washer cleaned, other odds and ends.

#3GoodThings 1. Our republic is 250 today, young compared to some, but it has still weathered much and remained standing. 2. Strong storms this afternoon knocked out our electricity, but our neighbors had room on their fridge for some of our perishables. 3. Despite the power outage, burgers and hot dogs were nonetheless grilled.

#3goodthings 1. The #StLouisCardinals embarrassed the #ChicagoCubs 17-1 at Wrigley. 2. Chick-Fil-A for dinner, so no cooking. 3. One yard mowed, one to go by Sunday.

#3goodthings 1. Slept in a decent amount, while still having time to get some things done. 2. Warm temps continued, with just a little much- needed rain. 3. An easy-but-delicious dinner of quesedillas hit the spot.
