  Scanned my #620day negs! Starting with some pics on the road. These were taken with a Kodak Duaflex. The train was behind a fence; since the Duaflex (basically a cheapass TLR) has a big viewscreen on the top, that you normally look down into, I held the camera upside-down at arm's lenght above me, like a periscope. #filmisnotdead #filmphotography #mediumformat #CalTrain

  I've been wondering for a while if you can connect a turntable to a guitar amp. Indeed you can. Doesn't sound great but it does work. It's a cheap and small amp, and an old 78, so take that into account.

  SF will presumably be rerenaming Chesar Chavez St sometime soon. It was formerly Army St, I doubt anyone wants to go back to that. (The only historical reason I can find for the name Army St is that there was a Navy St nearby, and it was a cute pairing, but Navy St seems to have disappeared, if this is true at all). The street is built on top of Precita Creek, but there's already a Precita St nearby (by Precita Park). So.... it's up to #SFBA Fedis to come up with a new name, obvi...

  My company has an internal AI chatbot, and I've found one good use for AI--if you've been pretending to know all about something so long that it'd be embarassing to ask about it now, and internal documentation is useless, at least a chatbot won't raise an eyebrow at your ignorance!
