I'm joining the folk who #LeaveGitHub for alternative forges. I admit to mostly using it as an offsite backup service but I sometimes contribute. What are the viable new homes? I'm US based, long retired and a hobbyist, solo developer who doesn't mind paying reasonable fees for access.
Does anyone have recommendations or warnings re #GitLab #BitBucket #Codeberg #Sourcehut ?
Is there a #fossil SCM forge out there?

@troi@techhub.social I found it easy to migrate to Codeberg. I didn't have any actions and no experience with them but I went through their steps to create a runner on my home Linux box and had a great time playing with actions.

@troi@techhub.social For basic needs, @Codeberg@social.anoxinon.de has been great. They do have some downtime (not much), and for people dependent on GitHub's CI/CD, the options aren't nearly as mature. But for the core GH use cases, I really like it.
