At peak fandom, the Clash played before crowds that neared and even surpassed 100,000 amped up fans. It wasn’t always that way. @RollingStone@flipboard.com tells us about one of the band’s first shows, which took place 50 years ago today at London’s Roundhouse. Was the performance a sign of the popularity to come? Not according to one reviewer, and some in the crowd heckled Joe Strummer and the boys. But a few years later, they probably bragged about being there. Good, nostalgic read, if you have a few minutes. https://flip.it/WnpFhL #Culture #Music #Punk
