@grumpasaurus@infosec.exchange Yeah I feel like it’s sometimes hard to defend because despite so much solar being installed, emissions have only ever gone down due to major exogenous events like COVID-19 and the Iran War. Blocking the Strait of Hormuz made a bigger dent than all renewable energy combined.

@eARCwelder@mastodon.social on top of that there's ton of cheap land in urban areas where the grid marketplace prices are far more volatile where renewable energy could actually be more use instead of losing so much energy in transmission
