@rdg_music@musicians.today I say this from maybe a different context. Let’s say you found on your midi or what ever instrument you like a really cool sound you like, I have found ( not much different from the old days but different none the less) That you are trapped by the “”room “ you are in . Mainly reverb, echo too but they are different….so now all the other instruments have to be somewhat contained with that room sound of the prominent instrument . BUT when you record somewhat clean ( compression in early stages are welcome if you understand compression…eq small amounts because you can add it later if needed. BUT actually capture the resonance of the instrument being played is golden. I digress .. again but yeah ! I think lol

@rdg_music@musicians.today What I say is of course is based on my personal limited research and experience. I love my Arthuria keyboard and it does give you control of those controls I spoke of …but some soundsonly to a point so you have to decide …to work around what is give of this keyboard or look for another. Holy BatSmoke! I now see why these dudes in the early 70s 80’s had so many synthesizers. But it’s the same somewhat today ….. how may plugins does it take to achieve that sound. More is less often but no always 😉 Okay rake me over the coals …vulnerable old ass sound guy lays it on the line. I am ready for the fallback. Nah. I’l be like Clint. I am going up ! Got any problems with that? Punk ! 🕊️
