Although an ASP may learn to mask very effectively social masking costs lots of extra energy even when it becomes intuitive. A non-diagnosed ASP can easily develop secondary mental health problems as a result of having to conform to non ASP social structures. Sustaining the "autistic Dad" stereotype does not necessarily help women looking for answers.
