Having the car keys discussion with an elderly loved one is one of the more difficult conversations.

@elizabethjacobs.bsky.social After three accidents, the cops just cancelled his driving license. The last one was the typical oldie "Drove into a shop" (lucky there was a pillar in front of him). Turns out he had micro strokes and was fainting behind the wheel. Taking the keys is a difficult conversation not just because THEY lose, YOU lose, you are now their taxi driver. All the (increasing) appointments.
