In the past, I was afraid I'd disappoint people constantly. Maybe I still am. But, I don't know, I think I'm more afraid of burning out again. I'm not very good at finishing things, never have been. And I think there's this enormous pressure to escape this internal label of being a failure that makes me desperately want to make things work That it has to be finished and thorough or I'm going to keep being the same person I feel stuck as It feels heavy

@Lurizon@mastodon.art yes absolutely, one thing that made it better for me was to accept i won't finish things, or to embrace the not finished look as a part of my style (which i really love now) and a huge part of that was to drop digital art completely , because in digital it's too tempting to keep tweaking, to delete and retry, to color correct etc

@Lurizon@mastodon.art I have the same thing. I've got projects that I really really wanna see to completion, but even thinking about them feels repulsive at times. Kind of glad it's not just me but I don't know how to get over it
