2) So there's no forgiveness in the cards yet, but even if there were, all we've tried is forgetting about it. That definitely hasn't worked.
3) The only alternative, as you say, is isolating the infection from society, prison, for as long as it takes for the perps to understand the error of their ways.
(In Trump's case, it may be a while, him being incapable of reflection and all.)

This will mean strategic disinvestments in rural areas, relocation assistance from rural to urban, prosecution of religious conservative organizations by changing the law to remove any religious protections they had, and heavy punitive taxes on corporations on the rich. Our focus should be on and acting as much disempowerment on conservatives as possible and the only caution we should exercise isn't sharing that people who are not conservative are not adversely affected more than necessary.
