Enforcing artificial scarcity when we finally have the technological capability to become post-scarcity is what’s leading us into a future of true scarcity. And if you think artificial scarcity is bad; wait till you experience true scarcity. It’s not going to be fun. You think the petrol wars are bad? Wait till the water wars. All easily avoidable. But we’d clearly rather have billionaires than a sustainable future.

@aral@mastodon.ar.al Nobody* wants this; but how do we stop it? (* save for the statistically insignificant number of billionaires and millionaires)

  • @aral@mastodon.ar.al Problem is: that other people (also like us here) have not come up with a #solution about how: - We trust each other - We do more online BUT together / all-for-1 or 1-for-all - How we use our fans / mutual people If you / we #solve that, #AralBalkan can stop #complaining to others and we just make our own way / system. (It's not just billionaires) (This is my sympathetic approach because common people are also untrusting like billionaire people. We are too ready to be preyed on. #CoOp
