I don't know who needs to hear this, but polyamory is not a free for all! A lack of open communication often leads to power imbalances and cheating. Yes, you can cheat and be polyamorous! If you're just hooking up and dating people left and right without communicating with your partner/s before hand, that's cheating! Not to mention that it can be dangerous for the partner/s that your sexually active with if your not telling them up front about what you're doing. Communication doesn't fly out the window just because you're non-monogamous, no matter what labels you use.
