I also have a house built in the 1980s. In the former Soviet Union. Building code wasn’t really a thing for single family homes, so obviously we don’t have a hood. Or even anywhere to connect the hood so it could vent outside. I currebtly reside in a yugoslavian 1960s built house so yeah I get you. Except it does have a hole for the hold it just is not cpnnected because the apartment owner decided to put the stove in a different spot when renovating the kitchen…
