Threat-actors are actively targeting PLC's, which are critical to OT operations. At a minimum these items should be on private VLANS, with limited IP access, maybe even VPN only. No one wants poisoned water, chemical spills or non-reactivate nuclear reactors.
CISA is warning on Iranian threats targeting PCLs. When the enemy has no quams with hurting civilians all options are on the table.
