#WordWeavers Sep 11: What does your MC believe about themself at the beginning of the story that turns out to be completely wrong?
I don't want to keep harping on Jessie, but... see, I have some really good answers to this for Angel, Margot, and David, but each of them would kind of blow a surprise. Whereas it's fairly unlikely to surprise anyone that "Jessie believes she's a complete fuck-up and is going to wind up living on the streets" turns out not to be the case.

This guy I haven't even introduced yet, and I'm not even quite sure of his name yet. But he'll show up for one very pivotal scene, with some crucial information, and change a lot of trajectories before vanishing again. 1/2
