Looking for advice on RS232 - WiFi adaptors. If I use one either end of a link are they plug'n'play in terms of the transport mechanism (i.e. is the cable simply replaced by WiFi)?

@g0fcu@mastodon.radio My advice for those things is just "don't". But yes, the ones I've played with are paired so they can play nicely with others. Setting up the wifi side can be challenging.

@g0fcu@mastodon.radio if you really need a RS-232 WiFi "adapter" you should look at the MOXA Serial to Ethernet servers. moxa.com/en/products/industria…
