The feeling you get when you accomplish something with AI agents—by commanding them for hours or weeks, giving feedback, bringing them together, triggering ideas, brainstorming, and asking questions—makes it seem like we are doing many things. Yet, despite the time and effort, we are not actually doing the work ourselves; we are merely causing it to happen. It becomes a chain reaction: we prompt an AI to perform a task we want, and the AI divides it among sub‑agents because we asked it to.
