Is there any language that actually calls the Romani? In English I hear “gypsy” more often, in Spanish “gitano”. Neither of them can be confused with “romanian”. In Spain at least Romanians already have a stigma of being thieves, don’t need to confuse them with gypsies to be racist against them.
