Supporting trans people is a winning issue for Democrats but it’s not for conservative Republicans.
This election specifically Democrats are hopeful they’d get votes from a large portion of traditionally Republican voters so they are pushing a bit on Trans to please Republicans but not too much that they lose their Democrat voters

It’s what they do on all of the “controversial issues” since the dawn of time. Biden and Obama both ramped up deportations and poured more into the border than anyone before them. What did it get them… all republican voters still believe they had “open borders”.
