My yard is creating interspecies solidarity. I tried to shoo one of the teenaged squirrels off the side of my house (futile, I know, but it cost me $2k a couple of years ago when they nested inside the porch roof) by literally standing on the ground and saying , “Shoo.” in a normal speaking voice. It screamed in mortal squirrel terror, which I have never heard before, and one of the resident sparrows flew over, landed next to it and glared at me. 🤷🏻‍♀️
