I enjoyed Veilguard well enough, but I don't' quite understand a lot of the choices.
Like... it's a change in direction enough to alienate a lot of the old fan base, while not changing into anything that might appeal to a NEW fan base.
And I ABSOLUTELY agree It's nice to have a lot of the mysteries be known now.
I'd like to get another DA game out of Bioware/EA... but I'm afraid it's unlikely, isn't it???

@bmalsuj@ohai.social AFAIK, either EA or Bioware management wanted a DA live service game catered to a younger audience, so that's what they were working on. Then they scrapped those plans and tried to salvage what they could into a singleplayer game, resulting in Veilguard. And, of course, there was also Dreadwolf, the DA4 sequel which seems to have been planned to be the game fans actually wanted, but got canceled so the team could assist with Anthem, IIRC.
