Okay, now broaden your conclusions. Imagine the level of distrust is even earned because we don’t know what to fucking think. Because everywhere we look, there’s a different message.
I get this mark, but I think that you’re underestimating the damage that we’re going to be seeing in the very near term.

Good point. With AI news we’ll be able to trust it more because the message will be consistent across multiple sources and delivered reliably, compellingly, with conviction, and targeted to the current desires, fears and prejudices of the viewer. All of this will help to maintain a sense of trust and shape your worldview reliably. Human beings are, for the most part, not mentally equipped to deal with this. We already see a very large part of the population lost in constructed realities. That’s the tip of the iceberg.
