@itsfoss@mastodon.social @bettina@mastodon.nu Some time ago (1 year maybe) I exported/downloaded my whole Amazon Library with Calibre. Removed the DRM with Calibre Plugins too. Since then I never bought from Amazon again so I can not say for sure if this still works.
Since then I only used other eBook shops.
This whole licence model is a pain. Not just eBooks but games as well.

@FrankBlack78@social.tchncs.de @itsfoss@mastodon.social @bettina@mastodon.nu Amazon has blocked the Kindles & downloads that allowed DRM removal. It's now nearly impossible to remove the DRM. They are contract obliged to offer DRM free where asked by provider, but KFX has no DRM free version, so they brought back downloads for those, only epub (mangled by Amazon) and no indication before you buy. Don't use Send to Kindle as it gives Amazon a copy other issues. Use Calibre & USB for Kindles.
