the reason these kinds of articles are so possible is because it's seen as an acceptable way to do gross misogyny.

"women owe sex and life partnership to people who loathe them and want to subjugate them" would in most circumstances be seen as over the line by mainstream venues, but phrased around polarization somehow it becomes cool and smart and acceptable.
