And yes, yes, I know that people will go, "uh, taxpayer funded surgeries for trans people in prison!" But that's not some crazy position. It was (and remains, even though the government is currently ignoring it) literally the existing law. How was that extreme?

Centrists like to go, "Ah, but if you look at this chart, it shows that voters viewed Harris as far left! That's why she should adopt right-wing positions," ignoring the fact that voters perception of her as being on the left wasn't about policy and more just "She's a Black woman from California"
