Hotter & hotter & hotter 🥵
"Our heatwaves will get hotter and hotter and hotter until we get to global net zero greenhouse gas emissions" - @ed_hawkins@fediscience.org
Several countries broke their previous record by more than 2°C. Four countries also set records for any time of year.

@parents4future@climatejustice.global @ed_hawkins@fediscience.org Yes, but Canada's CBC found a US Weather Network guy who says (as they've quoted him) no problem: 'Still, Gillham cautioned against attributing weather patterns solely to one cause, likening it to figuring out why a team won or lost a hockey game.' Seven miles down an item that delays discussing climate as long as possible, then slow walks it. That's the level of transparency we're getting here. https://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/summer-weather-canada-storms-heat-wave-2026-9.7253782 #canada
