I don’t think AI changes that balance all that dramatically. Any business that won’t hire juniors now, wouldn’t have hired them before, and simply had the “Must have 20+ years experience in [flavour of the month] framework” in their job ads. And experience from past jobs hasn’t really counted for anything beyond “They were stupid enough to get fired”, so paying for experience doesn’t make sense either. All that said, regardless of who has the better crystal ball, its a shit time to be a compsci grad…
