A quick hot take on Albanese's AI plan from a climate / energy perspective: ultimately nothing new, but reading between the lines, a hint at weakening a 100% clean standard specifically to allow for gas.

Note how the obligations now refer to generic terms ("power", "energy") - whereas the renewables are now mentioned as a 'thing that happens' as a consequence, not a rule or law required. The "and firming" is Labor-speak for fossil fuels, specifically major new gas projects. This is a bad thing!
