A recurring purchase needs more explanation than a one-time transaction. At checkout, customers should be able to see the initial amount, recurring amount, billing interval, trial terms, and any sign-up fee. Keep the wording direct. “Billed today: $25 setup fee. First monthly renewal: $29 on June 14” is clearer than a generic phrase such as “recurring total.” (19/38)

Make sure the account area provides a practical customer self-service portal. Customers should be able to review active subscriptions, see renewal information, update payment details where supported, and cancel according to your business policy. Self-service does not mean removing support; it means giving customers a fast way to handle routine requests without waiting for an email response. (20/38)
