#Minnesota Went on a walking tour w/ the Hennepin History Museum of Pioneers & Soldiers Cemetery on Lake Street in Minneapolis. We learned a little bit about the life of Hester Patterson, a Black woman who freed herself from enslavement by joining up with the Minnesota 5th as a cook during the Civil War and getting help to move to Minneapolis.
