It’s the use of the word “reverse” that I find offensive. Your own culture is allowed to be shocking. Finding one’s own culture shocking (and hopefully wanting to remedy it) used to be an important part of why we travel, not just making tiktoks about how weird the potato crisp flavours are in the Duchy of Grand Fenwick.

Yeah, travel should really be mandatory for young people, it opens up your mind to other ways of thinking so much.
