Ok, finally put together my all-female-or-non-binary crew. The patrol orders are weirdly vague, though for all I know that's a standard military thing. I just got my first mayday call, but it's outside my operations area. I'm not a monster, so I'm going to try to help, though it's in Federacy space, so presumably I'll be busted down to slop-private afterwards for provoking a war. Or maybe the Federacy needs enterprising all-female-crewed ships to engage in space-communism.

Apparently I done good. Two prizes taken (though one was destroyed shortly after it was taken), and I learned that apparently I get exactly two officers per post (such as helm), which means that if I send one helmsperson off as prize crew, the one remaining officer is just at the helm for the multiple days left in the patrol, with no rest possible. Pretty shabby, for a crew of 89 to only have two people capable of running the helm.
