@swisslet @essjax (not sure what the 3 months references- the time between sailings of the only public transport off the island?) The Wikipedia article says they get about 700 applications/year & approve an average of zero. So I guess they’re not actually running a racket where, once you’ve finished building your house, they collude in making life there so intolerable you abandon your investment. (Either that, or they’re running that racket really badly. 😜)
