Each time I see news about corporate failures and job losses and shutdowns in the game industry, I have to think: am I really a part of this industry? I hate this industry. Am I really a gamer? I don't game a ton. I think that like writing books, I prefer to take on the role of weird outsider artist.

I sit in my corner and I write my stories and make my art. I know they'll never succeed, even if the lack of impact hurts me. But I'm not willing to embrace the poison that seeps through the scene in the name of turning a buck. I'm not a marketer. I'm not a hustler. I just do my thing, always.
