It’s like 2022-2023 again trying to find pediatric #COVID vaccines. Used to be hard to find anything for kids under 3. My 5yo has struggled her whole life to be protected. We had about 1-1.5 years where you could show up at a chain pharmacy and just get it.
Now we’re back to hunting for answers and nobody will tell us: do they exist? Where can I get them? Allegedly Pfizer has one for 5yo’s? Apparently they’re not in stock anywhere near me.
When she was 3yo I had to drive 1.5 hrs to get her vaxxed. Before then I had to go 45 mins to a single community clinic in Charlotte, NC.
I hate this timeline so much.

So after weeks of no government office, retail pharmacy, or pediatrician being able to help, I’ve finally been enlightened. In South Carolina, young kids must have a prescription to get vaccinated for COVID-19. Then you need a location with pediatric Pfizer doses. But good luck finding those because eg. commercial pharmacies don’t have a place in their signup forms to ask “do you have a Rx?” They just see your child’s age and say “nowhere has your doses.” Thankfully I’ve got a pediatrician engaged to prescribe for my daughter and a local CVS who was willing to call nearby stores & find me one with the kids doses. #COVID
